Day 5---- Generational Shift

Here is a hard pill to swallow. Are you fat, overweight, got health problems? Do you see signs of these same problems in your family's heritage? Maybe you are big boned, most likely not? Maybe you have bad genes that are prone to illnesses? That is unlikely too. According to leading authors like Kevin Trudeau and Dr. Colbert, there is a good chance that you learned to cook from your parents or grandparents, and they learned their cooking skills from. . .that's right your great great mama, great great great nana, and your great great great grandmother etc etc.
In order to stop this trend and prevent sickness and illness to your family, you will need to change your families food prep habits. Go to your cabinet right now and throw out all the white sugar, crisco, and hydrogenated veggie oil that is making your family FAT, OVERWEIGHT, AND UNHEALTHY. Replace with honey, REAL maple syrup (Not Log Cabin or Aunt Jemima) and Olive, grape seed, and safflower oils. You might pay a little more now, but you body and you pocket will thank you in the future. Also, find some waterless cookware. I prefer Townecraft myself and prep your veggies without boiling all the nurtrients out of them. Also, throw out the microwave, every second your veggies are in there they are be depleted of healthy vitamins and minerals. There is a reason Amish people are healthy.
Also, for babies I recommend steaming your fruits and veggies and pureeing them. Like the nursing homes do for Senior citizens that cannot eat real food. Make sure you remove the seeds so baby doesn't choke. Also, keep in mind that canned baby food is loaded in sugar, and you do not want baby being addicted to sugar at an early age. Kids under 18 should be made to eat raw or steamed veggies at lunch and dinner. Fruit is great in the morning with your eggs and bacon. Cereal is ok but make sure it is portioned out according to the box and that the cereal is not sugar laden.

Remember only you can help train your kids against diabetes and fatness...only you!!!!
